The Big Bands




In the 20th century, it seemed like each generation embraced its own immensely popular style of music. The term “Big Band” is a popular title for this genre of music. There was no single event that kicked off this new form of music; it seemed to have evolved naturally from the blues and jazz of New Orleans, Chicago, and Kansas City.
